About Us
Arrow Strategy Group is led by Steve Patterson, a communications executive with three decades of experience in media and messaging.
He was an award-winning investigative and political reporter at the Chicago Sun-Times and Gary Post-Tribune before leading communications at the second-largest sheriff’s office in the nation, where he helped Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart gain international attention and a spot on Time’s list of 100 most influential people in the world.
He later led media relations and crisis communications efforts at a Chicago-based firm, working with national and international clients, then directed issues management work at a Nashville-based healthcare communications firm. Today, he leads Arrow Strategy Group, managing client projects in a dozen states.
A Michigan native and graduate of Ball State University, Steve is an enrolled member of the Munsee-Delaware Nation. He is a supporter of the Mount Carmel High School Father’s Club and the Chicagoland Immigrant Welcome Network and is active with many civic activities, including as a member of the City of Chicago’s Native American Advisory Task Force, and as a redevelopment commissioner, election judge and stormwater board member.
